Good day to all of you:)

I originally sent this issue to Jorg, who I know is very busy with the Delta CEP A synth development, so rather than waait for him to get some free time, I thought I'd try my luck here on the forums. The following is a description of the problem I am now having-

Using a MIDI controller, I connect the MIDI out port --->MIDI in of Spectralis. The MIDI controller also sends MIDI through USB which I also am using to trigger a soft-synth at the same time in my laptop (for comparison). When I press middle C the softsynth plays middle C, however the Speckie plays what sounds like a bongo or conga drum. I have S10 loaded (from Jorg's collection) in Speckie (SpeakerPo), PB01: Groovin1, using the C:DSynth, S:Lead, u GoaSa (name of sound). The Speckie Oct range is set in the middle(no leds to the left or right are lit). The MIDI controller has the same setting of Oct range- right in the middle. Now, when I play middle C on my MIDI controller like I mentioned above, the softsynth plays middle C, while the Speckie plays a bongo. I have to push the F key to trigger the first (lowest) note of Speckie lead- u GoaSa. It is the same for any sound I load up from any song in the Speckie, even sounds I imported myself have this problem. Something is definitely messed up- it wasn't always like this. As usual I must have changed a setting by mistake:(. Every single sound as well- a kick drum for instance only triggers from middle key F first. If I load an empty song and test the A Synth, same thing- middle F triggers the lowest note of the sound then it goes up from there. I tried other songs from Jorg's collection just to make sure it was consistent. I loaded up 'Albatross' and when i pushed middle C on my controller, i hear a woodblock-type sound with a nice reverb. This one has me scratching my head.

Does anyone have any idea about why this is happening?

Thanks a mill:)

Hi Fenton,

I now understand, what you were talking about the whole time. You have activated the DRUM midi channel. Check the system menu of the Spectralis. Just turn the first parameter at page one off 😉
