Delta CEP A missing presets download

Unfortunately we shipped 6 units to different dealers with the new OS 1.5 but without the preset data. Below you’ll find two soundfiles with the missing preset data. One of them overwrites the USER PRESETS and the other one overwrites the ROM Presets. A big sorry to customers, who received a unit without our soundset.

The installation of the soundsets is quite simple:
1.) Connect the audio player output to the external input in the MIXER section of the DELTA CEP A which is just between the oscillator and the filter section. It is not necessary to setup the ext. signal level as the unit detects the input data independent from the set gain.
2.) Set the DELTA CEP A into PATCH SELECT mode by hitting PATCH if not already done.
3.) Play the complete file to the Delta CEP A. The LEDs left from the big knob will show the progress. It will count the snapshot memories 40 times for 40 presets with green LED lights for USER memories and yellow for ROM presets. If the level is too high the LEDs turn red. In that case just restart from the beginning with less volume.
4.) When the file has been received completely, the unit will show the pink LED lights of the PATCH SELECT mode again.

WARNING: The file with the User presets overwrites all your own user presets. But you can backup them. You’ll find all informations about that in the owners manual.

Delta CEP A drum-sounds demo

People often ask us, whether the  Delta Cep A is capable of producing drum sounds. So we created this little demo for you. We programmed drum sounds, sampled them and transferred them into the Spectralis. Afterwards we programmed a couple of patterns and played a little drum session with it. While the patterns were running we tweaked the FX-returns of the mixing desk. We only used the internal FXs of the mixer – the plate reverb with a very short reverb time and the LoFi delay.

Here is a little audio demo:

The Spectralis SLC files can be found here:

Below you can listen again to the same sound demo. But this time we added some compression. We used the Logic Pro-X Classic VCA compressor with limiting!

New firmware version for the Swarm Oscillator – Neue Firmware für den Schwarm Oszillator

A new firmware has been released for the RT-311 Swarm Oscillator. This updates offers an improved FM quality. You maybe already recognized tickering sounds when tweaking FM parameters. We thought, lin. and exp. FM will benefit from a new Firmware, that refuses these sounds from coming up.

That is the first firmware update for the Swarm Oscillator. The active firmware shows up during Startup. The uppermost LED lights up blue and the next to the right red, if the firmware is already installed. If not, please check my step by step instructions below:

1.) Download the audio file at the following link or use the audio player below:
2.) Connect a cable from any audio player to the Swarm Oscillator’s SPEED Input.
3.) Load the update wave file into an Audio player like VLC Player, Itunes, Media Player etc. or play the file direct with the audio player below. The new version is called “SwarmVCO_V1.2.wav”.
4.) When you hit the play button, you will see a progress instantly in the LED ring. At the beginning of the transmission, the Oscillator enters the UPDATE mode. The entering shows up as a red LED animation. After that the first LED starts to run through all the colors multiple times. Each LED stands for a received Data block. As soon as a block has been received completely, the according LED turns from a purple LED color to white. So you can watch the transfer progress by checking the white LEDs. When all LEDs turned to white and the data has been checked to be OK, all LEDs will turn red for a couple of seconds. It is very important, that your have no power fail during these five seconds. When flashing has been completed successfully, all LEDs will light up green. Now you can reboot your Oscillator by powering down and up.
5.) During the data transfer something can happen. Maybe a power loss or your player jumps to a different track, the cable get diconnected etc. In such a case the LEDs turn red again. You can simply start the transmission again from the section, where the upload was still OK.
6.) The update procedure requires 4 minutes and 20 seconds.

Finished? OK – then let’s try the new FM quality of your Swarm Oscillator!

This player plays the firmware file – that is not an audio demo!
